Tall Cedars Counselling

Therapy for Individuals, Couples, and Children

Gottman Approach for couples.

Life is Complicated.

Reasons People Seek Counselling:

  • anxiety, stress, burnout – feeling like you’re always behind
  • persistent self-doubt, lack of self-confidence, imposter syndrome
  • being a highly sensitive person (HSP)
  • parenting or caregiving stress, role strain
  • relationship challenges, including conflict, infidelity, disconnection

Therapy that Understands this Reality

In our work, we focus on your unique situation and what’s making things difficult right now – and how to make it more manageable in a way that’s realistic, attainable, and fits your life.

I offer evening and weekend sessions for people who work during the day.

Modern Life can be very Demanding

Of course there are rewarding and meaningful parts of life.  But the reality is it comes with demands, expectations, and emotional pressure.

  • Feeling mentally drained and on edge by your job
  • Perhaps also stressed by parenting or other caregiving responsibilities
  • A persistent sense that there’s always more you could or should be doing or that something bad is going to happen
  • Feeling let down or harmed by systems like healthcare, legal, or other institutions

These can spill into other areas of your life affecting your energy, your focus, and your ability to be fully present in your work or  relationships.

Tall Cedars offers Counselling that acknowledges this reality, including Couples Counselling.

Couples Counselling

I use The Gottman Method – a research-based approach to couples therapy that focuses on strengthening relationships through practical, evidence-based strategies. Developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, this method helps partners improve communication, deepen emotional connection, and navigate conflict in a constructive way. By fostering trust, intimacy, and mutual understanding, Gottman Couples Therapy empowers couples to build lasting, healthy relationships.

Jennifer has completed certification in Levels 1, 2, and 3 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
